We just picked up a brand spanking new coupe it's a 4 cyl., 5 speed EX in silver. When the car comes out brand new from the factory, does Honda use a special oil for the break-in period or is it just the normal motor oil? what is the recommended procedure for changing oil for the first time? what i mean is that, i've heard from many people that when you buy a new car, you should change the oil when you have 1000 miles on it, and then again 2000 miles later (when the car hits a total of 3000 miles) and after that you should go to the normal 3000 mile interval for changing oil. what do you guys feel about this, should i do this method or just change it when it hits 3000 miles???

also, i know this was posted already, but i can't seem to find the thread... i plan on switching over to full Mobile 1 synthetic in the near future, when is a good time to switch from regular oil to full synthetic, 5000 miles, 10,000miles, 15,000 miles, etc.????
