is there a switch on the break that turns on the lights? i know they are on some cars, and i know the lights will go on if the car is off and you press the breaks.. so maybe that switch is stuck..
i saw it on a '83 chevy.. so i could be wrong
Thanks man, it was as simple as that. I got down at the brake pedal and was looking, evidentally a little stopper or something had come off and instead of having something to push the button in to take off the light, it had a hole where it was supposed to go and so nothing was pushing down on it at all. Your help is much appreciated.
