a haynes manual should give a pretty detailed disassembly procedure... as far as diagnosing it, it does not give that...

may I ask why you are so hung up on it being clogged ports? Are you sure all the electrical aspects of it are functioning properly? Does the car have any high-RPM power? all the time? sometimes? never?
