Well overlap is the reason not to... So you get special "TURBO CAMS" which disable vtec so what you have is a non vtec dohc monda motor... Look at the b20 140 hp.... Now what do you think the baseline for a 1.8 or 1.6 liter is? Well I would say a B16A with no vtec would hit about 130 HP is that like the same as a ZC??? yes it is as a matter of fact I have a frend who spent SKRILL converting his ZC over to vtec (yes it worked) he has B16A skunkworks stage 3 vtec cams and a "B" vtec computer... Guess how much hp he makes? got 136 whp which can only be speculated to have 170=180 ish at the fly! WOW thats the same thing a B16A would make with skunkworks stage 3 cams a CAI and DC headers!!!
