I dont think bench actually shows how strong you are that much anyways.
I am 200lbs and even since I weighed 150 I could only bench 155... I CANT go higher then that. But everything else has increased.
For example my old workout partner, he is 5"6.. 180lbs.. short but very thick. He started the same as me, did the same routine as often as I did and now he benches (reps) 200.
However, I can pick him up and throw him rather easily, while he cant do that.
