since you guys have both done it, how difficult is it to change out if you don't have an impact wrench? the only tools i have at my disposal are some sockets, socket extensions, and jack stands to get the car in the air. i hear the tranny is light enough that i can drop it down by myself. is this true?
Yes, I've done many clutch/flywheel swaps in my garage with the tools you have. It's not that difficult, it just takes some time.
Specialty tools you will need:
Clutch alignment tool
balljoint separator/fork
torque wrench
large hammer (mini sledge)
32mm socket
breaker bar
and a friend always helps.
