The pressure plate fingers poking out a little towards the tranny doesn't mean much (either the clutch is a tiny bit thinner than spec or the flywheel offset from pressure plate mounting surface to clutch contact surface is a tiny bit too big; the clutch wearing down does the exact same thing). Torque to spec is perfect.

How much of the tranny did you disassemble then reassemble when you did your minor rebuild?
(When I did my clutch replacement 9 years ago, I only replaced the axle seals and the engine rear main seal. I didn't want to take apart my tranny to replace the input shaft seal.)

I still don't know what the cause of your "no power to the wheels" problem is.
(talk to someone local who can actually look at the car.)
