Yeah, I can't place my finger on it. Maybe because he's so tall, the throwing motion looks goofy?
When I see other NFL QB's play, they keep the ball close to their chest. The distance from chest to throwing motion isn't very far, so it looks like a fast / compact release.
It looks like Kap keeps the ball close to his gut. Pulling the ball from gut to throwing motion might be the awkward mechanic.
