swap labor charge question
my brother hydrolocked our 94 accord and screwed it over pretty bad. Our only option is to put a new engine in it. We've called two shops in our area, one is a very well respected import shop and the other is a regular shop that installs new engines in cars. We asked them about puttin an h22 in the car and they both said that would be about 8 grand. Now i know you can get an h22 for aournd 2500, so that would mean labor charges would be about 5500??? How the hell can that be right?? I know its not a complicated swap and if i had time i'd do it myself, any idea where this 8 grand bull**** is comin from?
