Installing the new bracket is a matter of taking the door panels off (has to be done to change the speakers) and then 4 philips screws that hold the "enclosure" to the door... its not hard at all... then you'll need the wire that runs inside the "box" for the new speakers... for that you just have to take the stock speakers out of their boxes and detach the wire... not hard at all.

If you like, I can post directions as to how to take the door panels off.

As for the speaker's physical size, Crutchfield lists the top mounting depth as 1-13/16"... dosent mention anything about tweeter protusion. They list the pair as an EZ-fit for a 93 LX, so that means changing to the LX brackets in your EX will allow the speakers to fit without a problem. Putting them in your accord will not require any grilles, as the stock grilles in the car are all thats needed.
