Added weight, more electronics than machine, and does anyone know what type of tollerances electric motors need for reliable high rpm abuse? I'm not saying Honda couldn't do it..... I know they can. But the extreme heat and high rpm running require much more engineering than that in a Civic Hybrid or Insight. The price difference could shoot it into real exotic territory (> $150,000). Do we really want the NSX to deviate so far from its roots?
Lets see, it does need more power, and less weight. There are tons of ways to do either. I hope Honda chooses the best.
