More like global domination but I agree with your comments on my previous post...except for the part about "we would already be at war".

If Bush were to go directly to war without any approval whatsoever it would cause him to be ousted by the senate regardless of their political views. Therefore, he has to ride in on the coattails of a national tragedy.

Disguised at first as a "War on terrorism" it quickly shifted into a personal assault on a man that George Sr. tried to go after for reasons that were also unclear and questionable (at least in my mind).

I may be wrong and I am more than wiling to admit when I am but I do not see Bush doing any good for our country and he is covering over this shortcoming by diverting peoples attention to the Middle East.
