After looking around at best buy I decided the color saturation on plasma was better. LCD by comparison looked somewhat washed out. I realized most of my anime is 720p anyway so that wasn't much of an issue. I also noticed that refresh rate on plasma was an ass load better (600hz vs 240hz) and the response time was better. That leads to a lot less motion blur. My fears about life span were already put to rest. The panasonic was priced at $599 and the samsung at $649. I liked the image on the samsung better so that's what I settled on. Then it rang up at $599 :e39: In the end I paid half the price of the LCD I might have bought instead. The only real trade off was I got a 50" instead of a 55". But after looking at it next to my old set I don't really feel like I went down in size.
