F22/F23 will rev to about 6400RPM before fuel cutoff (marked at 6300RPM). Red lining it is the best idea.

I can hit 60mph in 2nd gear at 6200RPM on my 1999 Accord, which is vastly quicker than short shifting and losing time doing a shift to 3rd.

By the way, self-timing using a stopwatch is really quite inaccurate.
