honestly will, I can remember two earthquakes in western mass that i can remember feeling. in the summer there was a tornado twice (once 15 years ago one two summers ago) that touched down north of us (12 miles) only real disaster we have to watch out for is snow. the rivers are down 20/30ft embankments so flooding is out, they get no where near the top when the river does get high.

i wouldn't store water cause it is too hard to keep pure and clean. unless you plan on purifying it with 1/16 part bleach (for every gallon, i believe is the ratio) or boiling it. that's why ships in the old days stored rum cause it was easier to store.

i do want to look into getting a back up generator that we can hook up though. that would be my first thing on the list to get. first aid and canned food we actually have tons of in the basement.
