aperature "f-number" .. this is how big the hole the shutter covers will be... the lower the number the bigger the hole .. f3.5 is low, f22 is high. f16 is the average for best all around use... the lower the number, the more light, but LESS is in focus in your picture. the higher the number, the less light, but more is in focus..... low F-numbers are used for those pics where the subject is in focus but the background is blurry.... high f number is more for landscape pictures.....

ISO 100, a shutter speed of 1/200 and aperature f16 is best in well lit not fast moving things... i think.
