photography crew...learn me something
Put it in auto "P" and snap away. Get proficient in framing pictures and then move onto the preset auto modes to get creative. What type of lens are you using? Using the pop-up flash or did they give you a hot shoe (slides onto the hot shoe mount) flash?
Glad to see you're doing alright Snoopy Loops.

it has the regular lens that comes with it and also a much bigger one. not sure what it's called. but it's white, about a foot and a half long, about 3 pounds, and just as expensive as the camera from what i can recall. also have a 2x optical extender to go along with it.
trying not to use the flash as much as possible. easily gives us away. this camera system was intended to be used for long range reconnassiance.
i think there's a remote trigger in the bag. that'd be pretty sweet if i could rig it up.

Well if you're doing long distance shots, you'll need to stabilize the camera. Set the focus to infinity, shoot a really low aperature (f13-20) and lower and you'll just get additional noise. adjust the shutter to compensate.
The key to shooting long range shots (just like shooting a rifle) is to properly stabilize the rig. You could go so far as to lock up the mirror to prevent blurring resulting from the shutter slap.
Remote triggering would be ideal since you're not physically pressing the shutter release. I usually use the timer.
