Your attempt to make me look stupid by being more the elementary is quite childish....
So, you cut the rain guard....but if you take a look at the door panel, you will notice that it has a conical shape. The hole in the physical metal door is SMALLER then the diameter of the mounting surface on the plastic door panel.
If you cut out the sides of this "cone" you will severly weaken the door panel, and are creating what I call some serious modification efforts...then you have to reinforce the door panel, etc. by cutting that area out you also really remove any chances of going back to stock.
Try to fit an a/d/s/ 346is in there....you will have a similar problem, only now the basket being too wide....I'll pop my door open later and take some photos to better describe what I am speaking of. I'll take a few measurements too.
Some people are more willing then others to cut and hack their cars to pieces, I'm not one of them....once again, show this housing that remains when the door panel has been removed...it doesn't exist....
