Once again, I'm going to clarify my point. If you take off the door panel on a 96-00 civic, you have already removed the speaker!!!! The speaker is gone!! There is no housing to hold the speaker...the doorpanel does.
If you unscrew that and thats only four screws you'll see that there is a hole almost big enough to mount a 8" diver in.
There is no set of 4 screws on any door on any Civic...I'm looking at the helms manual right now, and I can disassemble my door in my sleep. There are 3 scres that hold the mounting area for the driver on a 96-00 Civic coupe door. Not 4, and there is no hole that is ready to accept an 8" driver....
Provide some type of proof...until then I just can't believe a word you are saying....
I'm not trying to say that I know more then you about car audio, but I do feel that you are inaccurate about the Civic's door panels.
