It takes some time to pull it off but you just have to think outside the box to do it. Do this, take your door panel off. Look at where the speaker is you will see that there is some black plastic holding the speaker in place. If you unscrew that and thats only four screws you'll see that there is a hole almost big enough to mount a 8" diver in. It's bigger enough for any 6 1/2 on the market, now if you don't put the plastic piece back in the car and make a MDF baffle you see that you can put the whole door panel back on and it doesn't look like anything has changed from the factory look. Now just to back what I've said up, I've worked in car audio for years and done installs like this. Sometime to get the best in there you have to think a little bit and do some problem solving, but it all will work out in the end. I know that can be done and if you still don't think so I'll be happy to do a DIY on this in my 97 EX because it has the same doors as your 00 Si. I fact I have a pair of ID6 the speakers that the CX62 were based on at home that I could use. Trust me, you can put them in there just look at it from a different angle.
I'm sorry, but you are flat out wrong...

No doubt that you may have done this before in a Honda, but this is NOT what the door panel on a 00 Civic Coupe looks like. There is no black plastic housing that is separate from the door panel that unscrews....If you really want, I'll take photos, but I have more important things to do with my time.

The mounting surface on a 00 si has a hard time fitting an oversized 6.5" driver (also called a 7 or 6.5S driver) They just don't fit, there is not enough area. On a 96-00 door panel, the driver mounts to the plastic door panel, and the panel mounts to the metal door.

This may work on a 92-95 because I have done a similar install on such a car....this may be the car you are speaking of....there may be some variation of a 96-00 door panel that I have not heard of, but you are not talking about a 00 Si!!! You are wrong.

The hole in the door designed to house the speaker (in the acutal metal) is SMALLER in diameter then the magnet, and there is no way to get an 8" in there without SERIOUS modifications. I wish 8"s fit in there...if they did, guess what, I would have them, but I don't!!

I'm a mechanical engineer, with out serious cutting, there is NO WAY to get an IDQ6 or a CX6 (same basket same magnet - I've owned both) into the doors of a 00 Si.....Check your years again, check the doors again, and you will find that I'm right. I'm not trying to get in a pissing contest with you, it's my job to think outside of the box...it can not be done.
