This is retarded easy. I did a quick search on Microsoft bans based off of self flashed HDDs and came up with nothing. They're not enforcing at all.

In a nutshell, you flash a Western Digital drive's firmware. This will trick the unit into believing it's a 360 OEM Fujitsu.

Now, you don't HAVE to get a 250GB HDD. You can get a 500GB HDD with the correct model number. Flash the 250HDDS.BIN file and your 500GB HDD will be a 250GB.

In the event MSFT releases a larger drive than 250, get the .BIN file from online and reflash. You'll then have a bigger HDD (but lose all info on the current drive)
i was FINALLY able to get this to work today. i had to do it on computer at work after everyone went home, but only took a couple of minutes. so i put this 250gb drive on my main box and i'll use my 10gb hd on my other box until i get another 250 to use.
