Went and looked at acoustic electrics at lunch today, really liked the Yamaha I played. Liked the Taylor as well, but I don't think I could convince my wife of the price tag that came with it. The Yamaha also felt really nice in my hands. It was a little bright, but nothing that could not be corrected with the EQ and a stiffer pick.
Thinking about getting a low end Behringer amp to practice with since we have professional equipment at the church to plug into.
My yamaha plays real stiff, regardless of string selection, but oh man does it have a beautiful deep sound. I don't know what they did, but if you play it right it sounds almost like a piano.
