Oh and you can carry a gun in your vehicle for transport. In some states it has to be out of the drivers reach or locked in a box. If you simply place it unloaded in the trunk you should be in the clear in all states. If you store it in the passenger compartment I would check local laws, but this only applies to actual firearms shooting a cased round.
