Came here to post this.

I cooked in restaurants for years and salt is in just about every recipe in small amounts to bring out and enhance certain flavors. If people still cooked their own meals when they are at home instead of packaged meals they would understand how ridiculous this ban really is. The food is going to taste bland and restaurants from high end to low end will drop off because of it. Soups especially because with this ban you could no longer use broths or stocks to make them, bakeries could no longer make bread products because salt is used as an integral part of the recipes as well.
