Default Explaination for Dummy's Please?

I am trying to figure out how to read the specs on an amp. I know that my MTX T410X3 takes 4 ohm 600W RMS/ 1200W total. I am not EXACTLY sure what that means, but I know I should be getting an amp that puts out about 600W RMS (right?)(and how much leeway is in that figure? Could I use a 800W X 1?)

I have a MTX 6152 which is putting out 325W on a 4 ohm load, which explains why it frequently overheats and goes into thermal protection!

I am looking to find an amp to run just my T410X3 subs. I see amps that say 2 x 750W Rms @ 4 Ohm Stereo, does that mean I can bridge the two channels and get 1500W X1 @ 4 ohms? Is that the correlation between the channels and the output?

Okay, on to the ohms... If the specs are 750W X1 @ 2 ohm, what is it a 4 ohm? Can I run it @ 4 ohm?
