normal head units aren't as large as the hole that is going to be left when you take the stock one out. a double din conversion is just something that fills it in. in my cavalier, the hu was on top and the insert included a little slot underneath where i put shit.
Yeah i just checked and it looks like way too much work. I have to undo the whole dash to get to the HU and buy an adaptor that costs $150. I think i might just try with a lens cleaner (doubt it would do anything). If it doesn't work i'll just keep using the tape deck adaptor and my iPhone :wtc:
