I've been to three different ones, usually pretty good. The foods not bad, just remember to reserve the sit-down restaurants on your first day (have to do it a couple of days in advance). The shows are different every night. And its perfect if you're going to lounge and drink your liver to shit.

The rooms are normally uncomfortable because: they have to have beds that survive a tropical climate, you never spend time in your room, its always kinda wet and sandy everywhere. Oh yeah, try not to get a ground floor room either because of flooding and bugs. Other than that, you can get a cover for your mattress to make it more comfortable (ask at the front desk, should be free).

I stayed at one in Jamaica, Playa Del Carmen, and the Dominican Republic.
