i've been trying to pick up a part time job in a local retail environment, everytime i apply i stop in to the store and at least say hi. don't know if its the same sort of place you looking at, but these people have the applications forwarded to their store and it's still up to the on-site manager to do the hiring so if you go in and make a face to face it can't hurt your chances as opposed to just clicking a button and hoping for a call. when they review those applications they will see your name and be like oh yea i met him, good guy
