if you're set on getting a s2000, why get an AP1?? for the whack ass 9k redline that is totally useless unless you track the car?
because ap1's don't have clutch delay valves and vsa
with an AP1, u get a 95 civic front end but with projector lights. u get "ferrari-inspired" non-led taillights
and you get 16" wheels with tires the width of integras lol.
HID's are a great thing to have. taillights won't make or break this car. and 16" wheels = cheaper tires
s2k's are fun as hell to drive, but because of the way it's designed, unless you drive obnoxiously, the car becomes totally pointless.
this is incorrect. I have no problem getting around town and keeping the revs under 5k
look at the majority of the s2k owners on the road these days. especially with the price drop with used s2k's, u see a bunch of lil asian fegs tryin to look all hollywood n shit and thinking theyre baller and flashy in their droptop. LOL.
look at all the mustangs you see on the road, and all the idiots driving those. look at all the 350z's on the road, or the i35's on the road, or just about every performance car made.
on the other hand, the low production numbers of the s2000 keep you from seeing 12 of them on a given commute.
AP1 = the new generation RWD civic convertible
except I never see threads about new s2k owners wanting help installing halo lights and whatnot....
i love the s2k as a car. but i wouldnt get one anymore because of what it has become thanks to all the kids. they killed the whole "import racing" back in the early 2000's and now that that's dead, theyre killing off good cars one by one.
with a statement like this, why even bother with cars anymore? just get a camry or something.
most of my local community auto-x's, but then again, I don't know, maybe you just have a bunch of idiots where you live....
nothing personal, I just don't think the s2k is as bad of a car as you make it.
