As long as you can get 93 octane gas and have an ELECTRONIC means of tuning your fuel curve, the CTR pistons should be fine. There's no such thing as "too much compression" for the cams, whoever told you that is seriously confused. The cam seals are in the head, they have nothing to do with the bottom end.

With that little mileage on the car I don't really see the point of tearing apart the bottom end and replacing everything. Just get the pistons and have the shop install them. Get some ARP rod bolts and new rod bearings if the rods are going to be out, but otherwise I wouldn't bother with the cost of a complete overhaul. You don't want to have to pay the labor costs on that, trust me.
