I'm going to have to check out some other local gun shops. $600 is more than I want to spend on my first gun. Through some other suggestions, I'm leaning more towards the Ruger GP100 again.

Although the Glock... well it's a Glock, it's very nice, easy, probably reliable, and tons of accessories and it's well known and understood.

The GP100 is an old police service gun, so it's well known too... but probably not as much now as it was in the 1970's.
