I think I saw it was something like 7% loss of color at 90 degrees with brighter black levels. So, yes there is some side loss I guess, but the overall picture quality is better than the LCD's and even some of the best Plasmas.
screen uniform is the problem (as well as fade in contrast)
read the latest review of the samsung led on sound&vision
i'd wait a couple of years before they fully get LED to its full potential
as of now...the plasmas are still a better buy
