"No taxation without representation" started when Colonists in the New World were taxed on imports and exports, but had no representation in British Parliament. It's not like they had representation that they didn't agree with.

Regardless of personal political belief, tax dollars still go towards roads, schools, police, public infrastructure, etc. You may not agree with the direction of said representation, but that doesn't give you the right to not pay your taxes.
