The employees just feel like time of close means the time they leave. I think thats wrong. When I worked food service, we were scheduled like 1.5 hours after close, so I didn't mind at all.
 at leaving when the door is locked
i've never seen someone able to just leave when you close. its just the principle that now you have to add at least 30 minutes to an hour on to the time you were supposed to work till
like if i close my kitchen at 10 i usually get out by 11 or 1130. if someone walks in at 9:50 odds are i'm not getting out of there till 12 or 1230.
it just comes down to common sense and being polite. you wouldnt walk in to a business and demand a service at 10 to close that takes a hour so why would you walk into a restaraunt at 10 to close and want to sit down to a nice meal and enjoy yourself for 45 minutes holding up all employees in the place
