Like I said, you have to cut the housing to make the distributor fit. The p28 will plug in with no problems; you just need to add 2 wires for the solenoid and pressure sensor. I did both of these, and I've had no issues.

Also, you must be running a hell of a valvetrain to make power at 8600 rpm...
