Default vvt

well as far as i know alot of other motors are going to the vvt (variable valve timing)design. i know that KIA motors has it, the pontiac solctace has it, and most car companies are starting a design similar.even ford has their SVT which is similar.as far as forgetting lift i didnt!! i merely said that the valves are openend deeper into the combustion chamber which is obviously caused by lift! but since most hondas are ohc motors there are no lifters or pushrods involved!!as far as why hondas vtec is better than vvt i cant say that it is! i know honda was the first but my 2009 KIA spectra ex (wifes daily driver) has a hell of a powerband in vvt and probably pulls close to as good as a honda in vtec. i do get excited about vtec because i respect the idea. and if vtec isnt a big deal then why do people do mini me head swaps and do vtec swaps if it means nothing? people who do LS non vtec swaps make me laugh unless they are just getting ready for the GSR but cant afford it at that time. and you hardly ever hear of someone doing a B20 non vtec swap because its like why waste ur time?? so if vtec doesnt matter then why did you do the head swap?? and did you remove the oil restrictor from ur block between cylinders #3 and # 2?? that could be why ur not impressed with vtec!
