it says "limited or no connectivity" because the DHCP has refused to issue it an IP address. He can't access the network or anything.
If you try to get on any secured network, and just type in the wrong key, it would come up like that.
Try going into your network setting, and deleting your network out of the list, reboot, and search for it again. It should come up secured, and type in your key, and you're in.
