You can't beat the stores, employees knowledge, availability, return policy, sales, used gear sales, etc.
I have gotten AMAZING prices of so many things there. I have $200+ jackets for under $50.
Dom...on another note, that will be the lowest that board goes. Anytime something ends with .83 it is as low as it will go.
Check a store...they might have then a hair cheaper.
Not a fan of supporting the Sierra Club and the closing of wheeling trails and back country access.
As for board selection I still ride my first gen K2 ElDorado 169 which has well over 2k days on it in the last 15 years or so (haven't ridden much the last 8 years) and it has held up well. Not as impressed by their newer versions of this model but most board companies are focusing on the park models and away from all mountain and big mountain boards.
Burton can suck my left nut, I have broken more of their boards than any other. they used to have quality builds but have been less than stellar over the years and way to flexible for my style.
