I'm having the same problem with my 99' Civic LX. Both axles replaced @ 119K, just replaced Left axle again (138K), same "clunking," noise coming from frontend- not a "clicking," noise. Car is rock stock, 'cept AEM intake. I jacked car up, wheels off ground; there's a little "play," shaking wheels side to side (both rims) w/ hands on tires @ 3 and 9 o'clock position. No "play," w/ hands @ 6 and 12 o'clock position. Is it the RACK? No leak from rack. My parts guy says there a huge market right now for lower control arms, he sells at least 4 a week. Will check brake dust shield and rotor. Any info helpful. Thanks You All.
