Well, there may be no cardio benefit, but you're still building up muscle. And if you ever want to be able to do a whole bunch, you gotta start somewhere. Does the iron gym have handles that just stick out perpendicular to the bar? I find those to be the easiest.

I might have to try those in a couple weeks, but I'm still slowly making progress w/ free weights. It won't be
that long before I can move up to my ~50lb. sand-filled weights(currently doing sets of 12 with ~35lbs.) so by then, or before, it might be more convenient and better overall to just move to pull-ups since you're working more muscles at once.
