No problems with either one of them. Onkyo is cheaper so go with that.

I just bought a Sony receiver for my dad because it was dirt cheap and he's getting a 52" Bravia so he wanted the Sony enhanced pass-through option (some sort of marketing BS by Sony). Whatever, it was a $10 difference .
