Throwing a turbo on a random 200k car is pretty stupid if reliability factors into the equation at all.
But, to elaborate:
There is no such thing as "throwing on a turbo" you'll need a manifold, plumbing, engine mangeagment, if you're smart an intercooler, etc etc etc. You're looking at at least $1000 if you're good at shopping. The d16z6 found on the EX and Si models will make a good deal more power given the same bolt-ons. My opinion on the matter: use the motor for what it was designed for. A d15b7 was never meant to be anything other than a reliable grocery getter. Yes, it can be turboed, but in the end you'll have a car that is still slower than most of what's out there, and you'll take your reliable 35mpg and turn it into an unreliable 25mpg (depending on how you use your right foot
