yeah cd's used to be 20+ bucks. not until the 90's did they catch on it seems. i remember dvd's when they came out too.
I'm not even talking about the 80s. When I was in HS (94-98) CDs were typically 19.99 regular price. They'd be on "special" for new release or whatever for 17.99.
I bought my first DVD player back in '00 or '01 for $350...it was a Sony 5-disc DVD changer. The first movie I bought was
The Matrix...for right around $20.
