Maybe so, but I figured it would've taken another decade at least. There are some major conservative voting blocs here. CO Springs is one of the most conservative cities in the country, not to mention the effect everyone else is mentioning (i.e. blue in population centers, red across the countryside). Colorado is still mostly rural geographically.
