It seems as though that with the Jun2 cams, even though they made a lot of mid range power, I would need to upgrade my springs and retainers which I don't really want to do. Also, Is there anything I should look out for when buying a used set of cams? found a guy with a good deal on a set of skunk2 stage 1 cams and cam gears.

Also, is there any noticeable difference in the loudness of upgraded cams? That will also play a factor in my decision too.

decisions, decisions
Even if you change over to Type R cams, you might want to switch over the exhaust springs to the intake side. Don't get Type R springs because they are actually softer than standard B series springs (Type R's have lighter valves).

As for used cams, it's pretty much a gamble, make sure the seller is trust-worthy. Visually, you will never be able to tell the difference between cams... unless they have a stamp (not sure if JUN stamps at an end or something).

I noticed slightly louder sounds with the addition of ITR cams, but nothing significant.
