I always say that I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6. If you kill someone though, whether it is in self-defense or cold-blood, you need to be prepared to face the consequences. Even if a jury finds you not guilty, you still have to worry about someone from that person's friends or family committing an act of vengeance.
