:dunno: i was shooting well before i was 8 BUT i didnt have access to one at any time until i was about 12. it doesnt matter if he was shooting a uzi or a 22 ... the training / safety factor on part of the instructor was inadequate. its not like they were teachin the kid to go to war, they were at the gun club having a fun shoot.

and this was not well controlled ... that instructor should have had his hands placed on the gun with the kid at that age. common sense dictates in full auto he might not be able to keep it from tracking upwards

i also lay blame on the father, he should know his sons abilities ... at 8 i highly doubt even my pops would let me stand there with a full auto gun and fire away, he'd have had at least one hand on the gun or at the very least have had his hands on my body helping me
