Yeah, that should work. Looks like you can remove the axle & tierod, so you can pivot the knuckle out & spin it on the upper balljoint. I don't think disconnecting anything with the shock is necessary.

The press I was thinking of is a stationary tool, where you would have to remove the knuckle & carry it over to the press.
