My mom used to be the real authority figure, but I learned quick in HS how to quell the situation.


I would simply fall to the ground in the fetal position when she hit me and I would start screaming like a wounded animal. She would usually end up laughing her ass off at the sight and end up not being mad.


Once she came at me with the wooden spoon, and I wasn't in the mood to get hit, so I grabbed it from her when she swung. She was SO furious I could tell that she was ready to kill me. On a split second decision I hit her with it and she made the "kill you eyes" I proceeded to chase her around the house hitting her on the ass and she eventually forgot why she was mad and was laughing.


My sister hated me for my ability to diffuse a tense situation with her :chuckles:
