you can use the lower compartment for your new deck if you wish. check out metra as they are the only ones to offer a dash kit for that car that is perfect fit. The remote turn on wire for that deck is YELLOW/GREEN
I presume you are talking about the yellow/green wire on the factory unit, which is connected to the window antenna coil?
